Stockholm Burlesque Festival

We’ve been on a summer blog holiday but autumn is on its way and the gals are back to business!!

I’m very happy to announce that us gals : Jolie Étoile, Lady Francescca, Fancy Lane, Sindy Volcano and me Madame Bijoux will perform at the first annual Stockholm Burlesque Festival.

We’ll all be performing on thursday, so don’t miss it!

The Étoiles wedding party

This week-end us gals packed our bags and went to  Jolie Étoile and her Las Vegas husbands wedding party in Håtö.

We had a wonderful show with my hubbie as the host.

Fröken Frauke Presenterar Let Them Eat Cake!

Last weekend me and Jolie went to the fabolous club Fröken Frauke and we had a lovely time with lots of lovely people.
Fröken Frauke celebrated one year as a club and Frauke herself performed. We did also get to see The Knicker Kittens-, Evy Maroon, Cotton Le Coquet, Velma Voluptuous and a burlesque fireshow. It was just great.

Practise practise

Tomorrow evening we will have our first practise in a real dance studio. Heaven

We will settle the show for saturday on a private party with Lady Gaga dress up! But we will also drill our group routine!

Update

We are really sorry that we haven’t been updating our blog lately!!! It’s been a very busy time with the administrative process of starting The Magnificent Glam o’ Drama Gals as a non-profit organization, and we haven’t been on stage for a while so not much fun to report.

However, next week, The Gals will once again grace the world with a show, as we’ve been hired to perform at a private, ‘Lady Gaga’-themed party! Glitz, glamour and real women, I don’t think Lady Gaga herself would be disappointed, do you?

Meanwhile, for all you burlesque lovers out there we recommend Kägelbacken at Mosebacke tomorrow evening, where the Hootchy Kootchy Club will celebrate four years in Sweden. We look forward to a festive evening there!

Before I go, we also want to congratulate two of our gals this week. Sweet and innocent Lady Francescca de Magnifico, who had her birthday on Tuesday, and the glamourously fantastic Fancy Lane, who will celebrate hers on Saturday! Happy, Happy Birthday, gals!

Tip of the week

We gals aren’t booked to perform this month, but if you still want to see some burlesque make sure to go Kittenville at Nalen on friday.

Promo packs and coffee

Me and the gals don’t only meet up to dance, there’s also lots of administrative stuff that has to be done, so once a week we get together to do all that has to be done/planned.

Last week Sindy Volcano, Lady Francescca and myself met up at Café Sodom, and I have to say that we were really productive.

Sindy filled in all the forms we needed to make The Magnificent Glam o’ Drama Gals a non-profit association at the taxes office.

Here is the  finished letter with the application form and our regulations.

After all that  paperwork we made some promotion packs to send out to some chosen lucky people!

Every pack had a business card, a small card about burlesque, pictures of the gals and a pair of tassels. After receiving that I don’t see how people can resist booking us!!!

Burleskapader- teasernight

The life of a showgirl can be really expensive, and that´s why I´m at home this evening. Tonight burleskapader is having its teasernight for the “real” event that is beeing held June 4th and 5th (when me and Madame is in Las Vegas, enjoying Burlesque Hall Of Fame).
So tonight I´m missing out seeing The Knicker Kittens, Virginia Valentime and Miss Lily DeLuxe
And a little reminder for the main event, when our lovely Sindy Volcano and Lady Francescca is performing. You don´t wanna miss that! I finnish this post with a wonderful picture from lovely days of yore. Hope you like it!
